BidNet Direct is where some Georgia counties, including Fulton and Douglas, post their bids, and both say registering is free. GovRoute is a paid morning email that reads the Georgia Procurement Registry, SAM.gov (Georgia) and a growing list of county and city bid pages. If your work comes from those counties, register free first, and add GovRoute for more places in one email.

Price We prepare the bid package. $199 one time, no plan needed. Plans: Silver $49/month; Gold $149/month; Platinum $499/month (govroute.co/pricing). Fulton and Douglas counties both say "There is no charge to register" for their bids on BidNet (source 1, source 2). We could not read BidNet's own price list, so we quote none.
What you get One morning email with your new matches. No new matches, no email. A county's bids in BidNet, with "convenient online access to all solicitation documents and information", in Fulton County's words (source 1).
Georgia coverage The Georgia Procurement Registry, SAM.gov (Georgia) and a growing list of county and city bid pages. Fulton County (from May 4, 2020) and Douglas County (from July 1, 2022) each say they use BidNet "to advertise all new bid opportunities" (source 1, source 2). We can't say which other Georgia agencies use it.
After you find a bid With a bid package, we prepare one bid you choose (govroute.co/prepare). Gold adds a one-page requirements sheet and a draft cover letter with a checklist of the forms the bid names, for a matched bid you open from the Georgia Procurement Registry. Drafts cover Georgia Procurement Registry bids, except Department of Defense bids. You review, price, sign and submit. The counties say you must "register online with BidNet Direct in order to participate" in their bids (source 1). We did not read what else BidNet offers here.
Cancel Cancel any time; first charge refunded if you ask within 7 days (govroute.co/refund). Both counties describe registering as free (source 1, source 2). We could not read BidNet's own terms, so we say nothing about cancelling a paid plan.

When BidNet may be the better fit

Pick BidNet first if your bids come mostly from a county that posts there, such as Fulton or Douglas. Registration is free for those two counties, per their pages, and Fulton says you need to register to take part in its bids. If you bid on one or two agencies that all use BidNet, a free account may be enough, and paying for GovRoute would add little.

DOAS says Georgia law requires bids "valued at $100k or more" to be posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry (source 3), and that suppliers and the public can use the Registry to learn about bid opportunities. GovRoute reads it for you.

When GovRoute may fit better

GovRoute may help if your work is spread over several counties and the state, and you would rather get one email than check several sites each morning. You can also use both: keep the free BidNet registration for the counties that need it and let GovRoute watch the rest. See DemandStar vs GovRoute, ConstructConnect vs GovRoute and every way to get Georgia bid alerts.

What we could not check

BidNet Direct's own website (bidnetdirect.com) did not let us read its pages on Sep 29, 2026, so this page quotes no BidNet price, plan, cancellation term or Georgia coverage figure from BidNet itself. We left those out rather than guess. Check the current details at bidnetdirect.com before you decide.
